A charge up home crowd in Lincoln helped carry the Nebraska Cornhuskers over the Wisconsin Badgers in the final regular season game Sunday night 77-68. The 11th ranked Badgers had their 8 game winning streak snapped. They held a 40-33 lead in the 2nd half before the Cornhuskers heated up, led by Shevon Shields and Terron Petteway who each scored 26 points. The win secures the number four seed for Nebraska in this week's Big Ten Tournament. The Badgers were led by Frank Kaminsky with 14. Wisconsin hurt themselves by making only 11 of 21 free thrown attempts. The Badgers finish the season at 25-6, 12-6 in the Big Ten, good enough for a number two seed in the conference tournament and a first round bye. Wisconsin will face the winner of the Minnesota-Penn State game on Friday afternoon in Indianapolis.
