Coming home after a 6-1 trip including a sweep of Colorado when they scored 28 runs on the weekend, the Milwaukee Brewers must have lost their bats in luggage leaving Denver International Airport.  Behind Gio Gonzalez and the National League's best bullpen, the Washington Nationals shut out the Brewers to open a Miller Park homestand 3-0 Monday night.  Gonzalez, in his second start since spending a month on the disabled list, worked six innings and allowed three hits.  Jean Segura and Johnathan Lucroy had singles and Ryan Braun had a double.   Three relievers pitched three perfect innings with five strikeouts to finish it off.  Matt Garza took the loss (4-5) and made only one mistake, but it was a big one.  Adam LaRoche hit it over the centerfield wall for a three run homer in the third inning.   Carlos Gomez had his 18 game hitting streak snapped and his run of 35 straight games getting on base, the best in the bigs this year, also came to a halt.   Milwaukee (47-31) saw it's lead drop to four and a half games in the Division race as St. Louis routed Colorado 8-0.   The Brewers will send Yovani Gallardo to the mound against former UW Stevens Point star Jordan Zimmerman in game two of the series Tuesday night. Pre-Game coverage begins at 6:35 PM on WTAQ.
