MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - A second man was charged Monday in the shooting of a ten-year-old Milwaukee girl who was caught in crossfire while on a playground.
Prosecutors charged 28-year-old Jamey Lamont Jackson with illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Online court records did not indicate when he'll make his first court appearance in the case.
18-year-old Sylvester Lewis is charged with reckless injury and two other counts. He's due in court Friday, where court officials will decide whether there's enough evidence to order a trial in his case.
Prosecutors said Lewis fired a weapon toward a group of men who were reportedly taunting him on May 21st at the Clarke Street Elementary School.
Authorities said Jackson was one of two men that a witness saw running away after young Sierra Guyton was shot in the head and severely wounded, while playing with her 12-year-old sister.
