Outagamie County highway worker hit with shovel Thursday


OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - A highway department worker in Outagamie County was significantly hurt after being hit in the head by a shovel that fell off the back of a passing pickup truck.

It happened while working along southbound Highway 441 around 9 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say the vehicle that the shovel fell from is described as an older model white Ford F250 or F350 truck with a ladder or utility rack. The shovel was also recovered at the scene.
