ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) - Austin Straubel International Airport will be hosting the EAA's restored World War II B-17 Flying Fortress for the next four days.
For the second straight year, the Aluminum Overcast bomber will be at Jet Air - Signature Select for the public to be able to tour the aircraft, along with taking a flight. The plane travels nationwide for tours and displays.
It will be on public display from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. July 18 through 20 at Jet Air - Signature Select, 1921 Airport Drive. Ground tours will cost $10 per person, $20 per family. Veterans, active duty military and children 8-years-old and younger are free.
Flights booked in advance are $409 for EAA members and $449 for non-EAA members; on-site reservations (based on availability) are $435 and $475.
