LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ) - An attorney in La Crosse is losing his state law license for 90 days, for violating a harassment injunction.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court said Randy Netzer pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges, after he was accused in 2009 of violating an injunction that prevented him from contacting his ex-girlfriend.
The justices said Netzer took out newspaper ads which asked the woman to forgive him, and said she would always be in his heart.
Netzer told the Supreme Court that a 90 day license suspension was excessive -- and he was getting counseling.
The justices disagreed about the suspension, and said Netzer cannot be reinstated until he passes a mental health evaluation.
