MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) --Marshfield Police Department is looking for a car and driver that hit a person in a wheelchair and drove away.  The incident happened Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at North Peach Avenue and Waushara Drive.

Sergeant Dennis Keffer says the vehicle is an older white sedan, possibly a Chevy Cavalier or Ford Taurus.  Witnesses also believe the license plate has the letters G & E in it.

The person in the wheelchair was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.  The victim’s name has not been released.

Keffer doesn’t know if the hit-and-run vehicle has front end damage, but if it does, it would be on the front passenger side.

Anyone with information about the driver or the car is encouraged to contact Marshfield Police Department at 715-387-4394 or your nearest law enforcement agency.
