The Green Bay Phoenix weren't about to share. Trailing by 13 points at halftime, the Phoenix roared past the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland University with a 40-19 second half to ruin their senior night with a 71-63 victory that secured the outright Horizon League regular season championship. Head Coach Brian Wardle deployed a half court zone trap that flummoxed the home team and the Phoenix offense got rolling. Alec Brown led the way with 18 points, Kiefer Sykes added 16 but so did sophomore Jordan Fouse. Alfonzo McKinnie set a career high for the second straight game with 10, inlcuding a big three point shot that put the Phoenix up 67-61 in the closing minutes. Green Bay (23-5, 13-2) had already secured the number one seed for next week's Horizon League tournament but they wanted the conference title all to themselves. They have it, with one game left in the regular season, at Detroit Saturday afternoon.
