UNDATED (WSAU) -- Wisconsin voters can expect another very expensive election on the horizon. A report by Wisconsin Election Watch claims just one union is preparing to spend $300-million dollars in an attempt to unseat five Republican Governors.
The AFL-CIO is targeting Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, as well as Ohio’s John Kasich, Tom Corbett from Pennsylvania, Rick Snyder in Michigan, and Florida’s Rick Scott. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said that the main issue of the campaign is relating to raising worker’s wages.
The Walker campaign issued an email alert to supporters Friday, seeking donations and showing the online article showing the AFL-CIO’s objective.
The American Federation of Teachers is also supporting the AFL-CIO effort.
