RED CEDAR, WI (WTAQ) - A man shot and killed by officers near Menomonie this week was suspected of dealing methamphetamines.
The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram said drug officers were investigating the 32-year-old man from the Dunn County town of Red Cedar.
An undercover informant reportedly told officials the man was selling meth, and that person bought some of the drug on Tuesday.
Early Wednesday, officers from numerous agencies searched the man's house. The Dunn County sheriff said a confrontation resulted, and at least one shot was fired.
The suspect later died at a hospital. The person's name was not immediately released.
