MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- Another Wisconsin state agency is expanding available resources to help with the propane crisis.
Wisconsin Housing and Economic Develpment Authority, or WHEDA is expanding the three-million dollar Propane Guarantee Program announced last week. The program for propane dealers is expanding to help existing small businesses apply to purchase propane or propane equipment.
The application process is also streamlined.
These changes allow the WHEDA program to help both dealers trying to pay for more propane and businesses that have ceased operations because they are out of fuel or cannot afford to operate with high energy costs.
This is in addition to the lines of credit being issued to propane businesses by another agency, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
