WEST BEND, WI (WTAQ) - A two-week trial is set to begin Monday morning for a Hubertus man charged with killing a 19-year-old woman, and attacking another woman in a separate incident.
Barring a last second plea deal, jurors will be picked in Washington County to hear the case of 20-year-old Daniel Bartelt. He had pleaded both not guilty, and not guilty by insanity to homicide, false imprisonment, and reckless endangerment in the strangling death of 19-year-old Jessie Blodgett.
She was found dead 13 months ago at her parents' house in Hartford.
Three days before that, Bartelt allegedly attacked another woman at a park in nearby Richfield. He's charged with attempted homicide for that incident.
