MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) -- A retired doctor from Marshfield Clinic is the new President of the Wisconsin Medical Society. The group’s annual meeting was held in Green Bay last weekend, and they selected Dr. Richard Dart as their 163rd President.
The retired nephrologist told members he will focus on team-based care that leads to better outcomes while being more efficient and cost effective.
Dart retired from Marshfield Clinic in 2007, but remains an Emeritus Research Clinician with the Center for Human Genetics at the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation.
The Wisconsin Medical Society has nearly 12,500 members. It is the largest doctor association in the state.
