The Milwaukee Brewers embarked on their final road trip of the year with first stop at National League Eastern Division champion Atlanta. Right hander Marco Estrada was ready for the challenge. He pitched a shutout through seven innings, allowing only two hits while striking out six as the Brewers scored a 5-0 victory. Carlos Gomez gave Estrada a quick lead by hitting the first pitch he saw from Braves starter Mike Minor for a home run in the opening inning. It was his 22nd of the year. In the third, Nori Aoki reached and Jonathan Lucroy brought him home with a two run shot. Aramis Ramirez capped a three for four night with his 12th of the season. It was the third time this year the Brewers blanked the Braves. Milwaukee (70-86) will send Tyler Thornburg to the hill against Freddie Garcia in game two of the series Tuesday night.
