Yovani Gallardo was off right from the start, giving up three runs in the first inning Sunday to the Cincinnati Reds but Milwaukee kept plugging away. Trailing 5-1 heading to the 7th, the Brewers picked up a run and then got even with a big 8th inning, highlighted by Jean Segura's two run triple and a sacrifice fly from Jonathan Lucroy. In the top of the 9th, closer Jim Henderson got into trouble with a couple of base runners and Jay Bruce was at the plate. Bruce lifted a deep fly ball to center that Carlos Gomez plucked off the top of the wall, robbing Bruce of a three run shot. In the bottom of the ninth, Sean Halton smacked a walk off solo home run off Zach Duke to give the Brewers an improbable 6-5 victory and sending Cincinnati three and a half games behind the Central Division leading Cardinals and Pirates. Milwaukee (65-83), opens a four game series against the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park, sending Wily Peralta against Edwin Jackson in the opener Monday night.
