The Green Bay Phoenix Mens basketball team is the Pre-Season choice to win the Horizon League title, the first time they've been tabbed number one in 18 years. Green Bay narrowly out polled Wright State by a single vote, the closest pre-season ballot ever. Cleveland State was picked to finish third. Seniors Alec Brown and Kiefer Sykes were chose to the Horizon's pre-season first team. It's the first time the Phoenix has placed two players on the first team since joining the league 20 years ago. Kendrick Perry of Youngstown State was named the Pre-Season player of the year. They were joined on the first team by Travis Bader of Horizon newcomer Oakland and Cole Darling of Wright State. UW-Milwaukee was picked for last but Jordan Aaron of the Panthers was named to the Pre-Season second team.
