OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - Oshkosh Police have made an arrest in a weekend child enticement case involving three girls who were playing in their front yard.
Officer Joe Nichols say they arrested a 51-year-old man from Oshkosh on three counts of Attempted Kidnapping and Attempted Child Abduction stemming from an a child enticement incident that happened Saturday evening in the 1000 block of Weisbrod Street.
The girls were approached by the man in his car who told them to get in because he was going to take them to grandma’s house. The children’s mother saw the man, went outside and he took off.
Nichols says the suspect is not connected to another child enticement case from last Friday afternoon that was just reported on Wednesday where a man in a car approached a child who just got off the bus.
Oshkosh has seen a rash on child enticement incidents over the past few weeks involving different men. There has been one other arrest.
