DUBLIN, OH (WTAQ) - Madison golfer Steve Stricker is 2-1 in the President's Cup matches -- and he helped the American team take a five-point lead after play was suspended late Saturday in Dublin Ohio.

They've had weather delays in each of the three days of competition so far.

Saturday, Stricker and his rookie partner Jordan Speith completed a foursome match from Friday -- and they defeated the International pairing of Branden Grace and Richard Sterne 2 and 1.

In the Saturday four ball, Stricker and Spieth lost to Jason Day and Graham DeLaet 2-up.

Foursomes were next, and Stricker was given a new partner by U.S. team captain Fred Couples. Stricker and Bill Haas had a 2-up lead over Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama when play was suspended by darkness.

They'll pick it up Sunday morning, and the 12 final singles' matches will then be played.  The U.S. leads the International team 11.5 to 6.5.
