ANTIGO, WI (WTAQ) - U.S. Marshals have arrested an Antigo man in Northern California on child sexual assault charges.
Authorities say 58-year-old Edward Fleming has been a fugitive since March 5 after failing to appear for his preliminary hearing in Langlade County court.
A warrant was then issued, and police requested the help of the U.S. Marshals Service to locate Fleming.
Interviews and other information led authorities to Maxwell, California. That’s where Fleming was arrested Tuesday.
Fleming is being held in Colusa County, California awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin. If convicted on the charges, Fleming faces 60 years in prison and lifetime supervision.
