For the Milwaukee Brewers, the Pittsburgh Pirates are just the right tonic. Milwaukee snapped a four game skid by beating a team they seem to own in recent years, 5-1 at PNC Park Monday night. The Brewers have won 30 of the last 38 meetings with the Pirates. The top of the order had big nights with both Norichika Aoki and Jean Segura going three for five. Aoki drove in three runs with a pair of doubles and the combined to steal five of six bases against the Pirates. Marco Estrada bounced back from a pair of rough outings by tossing seven solid innings, allowing one run on just three hits to improve to 3-2. The Pirates also committed three errors with A.J. Burnett taking the loss. Rickie Weeks was benched, mired in a long slump and Ryan Braun got the night off. Milwaukee (17-20) will send Kyle Lohse to the mound in game two of the series Tuesday night.
