It was a forgettable weekend for the Milwaukee Brewers as the St. Louis Cardinals emphatically completed a four game sweep at Miller Park, winning 10-1 on Sunday. The Cards erupted for six runs in the second inning off Marco Estrada. He gave up a three run double to Allan Craig and then surrendured a two run homer to Matt Holliday. Estrada lasted just three and a third innings, giving up 6 runs on eight hits with five walks. The only Brewer run came home in the 5th on a groundout from relief pitcher Alfredo Figaro. Jamie Garcia got the win working 8 innings, scattering 8 hits and the one run. The Brewers (14-16) have dropped five straight and are now five and a half games behind St. Louis. They have an off day Monday and conclude the home stand with a two game series against the American League West division leading Texas Rangers.
