Monday was the deadline for Packers General Manager Ted Thompson to consider a restructured contract for tight end Jermichael Finley. When it passed, it assured Finley's place on the 2013 roster and his full salary of 8.25 million dollars, one of the highest on the team. Finley will also be due a three million dollar roster bonus check as of today. Last year, Finley set a franchise record for tight ends with 61 receptions but averaged a career low 10.9 yards per catch. His production picked up late in the season and head coach Mike McCarthy said on several occassions the 6 year veteran has grown up and will be a big part of the team's offensive package in the future. Especially so now that veteran Greg Jennings is with the Minnesota Vikings.
