ST. PAUL, MN (WTAQ) - If you’re going to get hot, now is the time.

The Wisconsin men’s hockey team upset top-seeded St. Cloud State Friday night, putting the Badgers one victory away from the NCAA Tournament.

The 4-1 win over the Huskies was the fifth in a row for Wisconsin. Nic Kerdiles had a goal and two assists in the victory. Joseph LaBate, John Ramage and Tyler Barnes also found the back of the net.

The Badgers have been prolific during the winning streak, scoring 24 goals in the five games.

They play for the Broadmoor Trophy Saturday against Colorado College. Wisconsin will bring a 21-12-7 record into that game after winning just two of this season’s first 14 outings.
