The Green Bay Phoenix mens basketball team's dance turned out to be the quick step. Green Bay led most of the way but faltered down the stretch and lost to Bradley 75-69 in Peoria, Illinois in the opening round of the Collegeinsider.com tournament Wednesday night. The Phoenix opened up a 9 point lead at halftime, 33-24, stretched it to as many as 11 and stayed in front until less than 6 minutes remained. Untimely turnovers, the inability to rebound and tired legs did Brian Wardle's club in, spoiling his first post-season game as head coach. Already dealing with a thin bench, backup guard Cole Stefan did not play because of the flu and the Phoenix starters logged a lot of minutes. Alec Brown led the way with 23 points, Kiefer Sykes added 18. Green Bay finishes the season at 18-16.
