The Kewaunee Storm will shoot for back to back state championships after defeating Lodi 40-27 in the Division 3 semifinal this morning at the Resch Center. Kewaunee (26-1) never trailed but struggled to put away the Blue Devils, making their first appearance at state. Both teams were off their game offensively, the Storm shot just 35.7% while Kewaunee's defense held Lodi to 29.3%, The Blue Devils closed to within 5 early in the 4th quarter but senior Kelsey Stangel hit a three point shot and a layup off a turnover to spread the lead to 10 and put the game away. Stangel led Kewaunee with 17, senior Alex Richard had 14 and Jill Kleiman added 8. In it's third straight trip to state, Kewaunee lost the 2011 title game to Altoona, came back and defeated Oostburg for the school's first championship and will now face either Neillsville or East Troy for back to back gold balls Saturday afternoon.
