The St. Norbert Green Knights hockey team will be the number one seed in the West Regional as they look to make it three straight national championships in NCAA Division III. St. Norbert earned the automatic bid by defeating UW Eau Claire on the road Saturday night 3-0. David Jacobsen stopped all 33 shots he faced for the shutout. The Green Knights will play the winner of the West Regional first round game between Eau Claire and St. Thomas on Tuesday night. St. Norbert will host the quarterfinal matchup Saturday night at 7:00 PM at the Cornerstone Community Center. A win will send the Knights to the D3 Frozen Four at Lake Placid, New York.
The St. Norbert womens hockey team earned it's first ever bid to the Division III tournament by beating UW River Falls 3-2 in overtime Saturday. Karissa Anderson scored the game winning goal as SNC won it's first O'Brien Cup playoff trophy.
