Lincoln County authorities arrest Timothy Tutor Tuesday

LINCOLN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - A northern Wisconsin man who’s been wanted since 2011 – and who barely escaped arrest last weekend – is finally in jail.

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies said they stopped by Timothy Tutor’s house Tuesday evening, and was told by his 20-year-old daughter that she had not seen him since last Friday.

Deputies then saw Timothy running behind the house in an apparent effort to escape. Officers then drew a Tazer stun gun, and he was arrested.

Probation agents have been looking for the 49-year-old Tutor since 2011, after he reportedly skipped out on them following a conviction on 7 counts of not paying child support.

He was almost caught last Friday night, but a K-9 search was not successful.

Authorities said Tutor had a marijuana pipe on him, and he could face a charge of possessing marijuana paraphernalia – along with an absconding charge for being on the lam so long.

Officials say Tutor’s daughter also faces a possible charge of obstructing police, for allegedly lying about her father’s whereabouts.
