Quarterback Danny O'Brien is leaving the University of Wisconsin football program. The Maryland transfer was expected to win the starting job last season but after three starts, was replaced by Joel Stave. O'Brien completed 52 of 86 passes for 523 yards with three touchdowns and one interception last year. Stave returns, along with Curt Phillips and junior college transfer Tanner McEvoy have all pushed O'Brien down the depth chart which led to his decision to move on and try to play somewhere else.
