Oakland erupted for five runs in the seventh inning to beat the Brewers 6-1 and take the rubber game of the series at Miller Park Wednesday afternoon. Milwaukee got on the board first with Carlos Gomez, moved up in the batting order, hitting a run scording triple. Yovani Gallardo held the A's scoreless until the 5th when they tied the game with a pair of singles. In the 7th, the wheels came off. Josh Donaldson stroked a two run single, knocking Gallardo out of the game and Michael Gonzalez served up a long, three run homer to Brandon Moss putting the game out of reach. Bartolo Colon pitched 7 innings for his 7th win of the year as Oakland has won five of their last six. The Brewers stranded nine runners on base as they fall to 22-35 on the season. Ryan Braun, Aramis Ramirez and Rickie Weeks all sat out the game. The Brewers placed Marco Estrada on the 15 day disabled list with a hamstring injury. Tyler Thornburg has been called up from Triple A Nashville to take his spot on the pitching staff.
