A's 6 Brewers 1

Oakland erupted for five runs in the seventh inning to beat the Brewers 6-1 and take the rubber game of the series at Miller Park Wednesday afternoon.   Milwaukee got on the board first with Carlos Gomez, moved up in the batting order, hitting a run scording triple.   Yovani Gallardo held the A's scoreless until the 5th when they tied the game with a pair of singles.   In the 7th, the wheels came off.  Josh Donaldson stroked a two run single, knocking Gallardo out of the game and Michael Gonzalez served up a long, three run homer to Brandon Moss putting the game out of reach.  Bartolo Colon pitched 7 innings for his 7th win of the year as Oakland has won five of their last six.  The Brewers stranded nine runners on base as they fall to 22-35 on the season.  Ryan Braun, Aramis Ramirez and Rickie Weeks all sat out the game. The home stand continues with a four game series with the Philadelphia Phillies starting Thursday night with Wily Peralta on the mound. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:35 PM on WTAQ.

The Brewers placed Marco Estrada on the 15 day disabled list with a hamstring injury.   Tyler Thornburg has been called up from Triple A Nashville to take his spot on the pitching staff.
