STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) - Skyward Inc. will be unveiling their plans for the future later this week.
The company will be holding a meeting at 3pm on Wednesday to talk about their plans for future expansions in Stevens Point.
Company president Scott Glinski said earlier this month that Skyward would be creating a new world headquarters for the company in Portage County. The new facility will house 1,000 employees and cost between $15 million and $20 million to build.
Residents, community leaders and legislators all worked to fight a proposal that would have cut Skyward out of Wisconsin schools. The company threatened to move to Texas or Florida if they couldn't do business in the state. That proposal was defunded in the newly signed state budget, allowing Skyward the chance to keep working with local districts.
