The Milwaukee Brewers were looking to win a road series but couldn't quite climb that mountain in the Rockies. Colorado scored twice in the bottom of the 8th off John Axford to pull out a 6-5 victory Sunday at Coors Field. The back and forth game featured four solo home runs from Colorado. Milwaukee got long balls from Nori Aoki and Yuniesky Betancourt. Single runs in the second, third and fourth put Milwaukee up 3-1 for starter Donovan Hand. He gave up two runs in the 6th and left for the bullpen. Betancourt's two run shot in the top of the 8th put Milwaukee up 4-3. Axford came on and gave up doubles to Troy Tulowitzki and Michael Cuddyer that tied the game. Nolen Arenado broke the tie with an RBI single. Milwaukee (43-61) played without shortstop Jean Segura who sat out the game after getting hit by a pitch on the arm Saturday night. The Brewers open a four game series at Wrigley Field against the Cubs Monday night. Kyle Lohse will face Jeff Samardzja. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:30 PM on WTAQ.
