MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAU-Wheeler News) - Two people are dead, following a plane crash into Lake Michigan yesterday afternoon.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the single engine plane departed from Racine. Air traffic controllers at the Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee lost contact with the aircraft at around 4:00 p.m. Authorities say the plane crashed about a mile offshore near Cudahy, a suburb of Milwaukee.
Rescuers recovered two bodies from the underwater crash scene, the victims have not been identified. The F-A-A says the crash is under investigation and have not released a possible cause to the crash.
