SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ) - Shawano County Sheriff’s continue to piece together the events that unfolded before a fatal hit and run involving a Michigan man during the early morning hours of last Friday.
Sheriff’s say evidence shows that 22-year-old Timothy Meade was already lying in the roadway before he was struck. The initial investigation couldn't answer that question.
Meade is from Stephenson, Michigan and was in the area visiting friends. He was on his way home from a tavern at around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
Meade was found dead about an hour later on County Highway M at the Highway 29 overpass.
Toxicology results on Meade’s blood alcohol content won’t be back for a couple weeks.
In the meantime, authorities are looking for a SUV or pickup truck, or a larger type of vehicle. It would have been traveling east towards the City of Shawano.
