Somebody must have left the Kohl Center doors open Tuesday night because the Wisconsin Badgers were just as cold inside as it was outside in falling to 11th ranked Michigan State 49-47. The Badgers hit just 29.6% of their shots and were an even more unsightly 7 of 18 from the free throw line. Keith Appling led the Spartans (17-3, 6-1) with 19 points, Brandon Dawson added 18 points with 13 rebounds. Mike Bruesewitz topped Wisconsin with 10. Despite the dreadful shooting, the game was tight throughout. The Badgers made just one basket over the final 7:30, a Ryan Evans three pointer. Wisconsin (13-6, 4-2) missed the last five free throws down the stretch. The Badgers will stay home to host Minnesota on Saturday.
