The Green Bay Phoenix clamped down defensively and defeated Loyola 58-45 at the Resch Center Wednesday night. The Phoenix limited the Ramblers to 31 percent shooting on the night and held Loyola to just 12 points in the first half, leading 28-12 at intermission. Freshman Jordan Fouse led the way with 13 points and 11 rebounds. He also recorded a school record tying seven steals. Kiefer Sykes added 11 and Brennan Cougill scored 10. Head Coach Brian Wardle deployed an effective zone defense much of the night as Green Bay gets it's first win in Horizon League play after dropping the first two conference games on the road. The Phoenix (7-9, 1-2) return to the Resch Center Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM to host UIC.
