Wisconsin survived a cold shooting night from the floor and an even worse night at the free throw line to beat Penn State 60-51 at the Kohl Center Thursday night to win their Big 10 opener. The Badgers shot just 39 percent from the floor and converted only 13 of 26 free throws. Jarred Berggren, Ben Brust and Ryan Evans all scored 13 points for Wisconsin, now 10-4 and 1-0 in conference play.
