LANSING, MI (WSAU) -  Two of the Great Lakes have reached record low water levels. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says preliminary figures show that Lakes Michigan and Huron reached record low water levels in December.

All of the Great Lakes are down over the past year because of light snowfall combined with very little spring rainfall in 2012.

The previous all-time low of 576.2 feet above sea level was set in 1964. The preliminary December 2012 measurement is at 576.15 feet above sea level.
