NEW HOLSTEIN, WI (WTAQ) - An 18-year-old woman who was found dead behind a home in New Holstein died from exposure to the cold.
The Calumet County Medical Examiner Michael Klaeser says they are still investigating what led to the death Monica Batts, who is from New Holstein.
Batts' body was found at 12:25 p.m. Friday by a home owner near County Highway X on the eastside of New Holstein.
Investigators say her body was there for at least six hours before being discovered.
The Sheriff's department is still waiting for results of a toxicology test, but that could still be a few weeks away.
