CORAL GABLES, FL (WTAQ) - Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke defended slugger Ryan Braun while giving a talk at Florida’s International’s annual baseball banquet Saturday night.
Braun’s name has been linked to baseball’s latest drug investigation and his manager says there’s no good reason for it.
Braun’s name appears in records from a closed clinic in Coral Gables which allegedly provided performance-enhancing substances to several players.
Braun says he used the person running the Biogenesis Clinic of America, Anthony Bosch, only as a consultant in his defense last year when he successfully fought what could have been a 50-game suspension for testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone.
The suspension was overturned in arbitration.
