MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker has around $800,000 in the bank for his next election in 21 months.
The Republican governor said Thursday that he raised $474,000 in the last half of 2012, soon after winning his recall election in June. And Walker had $794,000 in his campaign fund at the start of the New Year.
That’s a sizable amount, but it’s not nearly as much as the $29.5 million he raised in the first half of last year, in the months leading to the June recall contest.
Walker filed a complete financial report Thursday with the state elections’ agency. His campaign released a summary, but the breakdown of contributions was not immediately available.
