APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities in the Fox Valley have cut back on their late-night patrols to nab drunk drivers, because fewer officers are willing to work those shifts. According to the Post-Crescent, Appleton Police have cut back the number of their saturation patrols from 40 in the 15-months ending in October, to less than 10 for the year ending next September. The shifts run before-and-after bar-time, between 11 p-m and 4 a-m.
