(WNFL) - The Wisconsin men's hockey team will host Colorado College tonight and tomorrow night. The Tigers used to be a conference opponent for the Badgers, until Wisconsin helped form the new Big Ten men's hockey circuit this fall. The 15th-ranked Badgers are 6-5-and-1 overall, and they're 2-and-2 in league play after sweeping a pair from Penn State last weekend. Colorado College is 2-10-and-3. The Tigers are struggling after making it to the W-C-H-A title game last spring. They're now in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. Tigers' coach Scott Owens is a native of Madison. He spent a year as a U-W assistant coach in the early 1990's. Meanwhile, the Badger women's hockey team is on its holiday break, after sweeping Bemidji State last weekend. They won't play again until January third at Saint Cloud State.
