The Milwaukee Brewers fell behind early and had no answer for Tim Lincecum in falling to the Giants in San Francisco Thursday afternoon 4-1. Brandon Belt launched a three run homer in the first inning off starter and loser Donovan Hand (0-4). The Giants added another run in the second. Lincecum pitched eight brilliant innings, allowing only one hit, a double by Juan Francisco. He walked just one and struck out 8. The Brewers scored their only run in the ninth and wound up splitting the four game series. Milwaukee (49-66) will send Kyle Lohse to the mound to open a weekend, interleague series with the Mariners in Seattle.
