MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin Democratic Party chairman Mike Tate has announced he is running for a third term.
Delegates at the state party convention will vote on their chairman next June.
Tate has presided over the party since 2009. During his tenure Republican Scott Walker was elected governor and the GOP took control of both the Assembly and Senate.
Tate was also involved in the recall elections targeted Republican state senators and the governor.
Tate has already received several endorsements, including U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and former senator Russ Feingold.
