It's happening early and often for the Milwaukee Brewers, winners of now nine straight games. The Brewers scored five times in the second inning and beat the Padres in San Diego Tuesday night 6-3. Yuniesky Betancourt and Jonathan Lucroy each drove in a pair of runs. Jean Segura also went three for five at the plate. All 9 runs in the game were scored in the first two innings. Yovani Gallardo (2-1) got the win but struggled early before settling down to last six and a third. Tom Gorzelany, John Axford and Jim Henderson finished up by not allowing a hit with four strikeouts over the final 2 and a third innings. Milwaukee (11-8) sends Marco Estrada against Edison Volquez Wednesday night, gunning for their third straight series sweep and 10th straight win. The club record winning streak is 13 games which started the team streak season of 1987.
