GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is warning people living in northeast Wisconsin about a possible scam.
Senior residents in Appleton and Green Bay have told the state agency about calls they’ve received, telling them to expect a piece of medical equipment they never ordered.
No one has been victimized to this point.
State officials say if you get a call like that you should hang up immediately and don’t press any keys to continue. You should then call police or the state hotline at 1-800-422-7128.
