OAK CREEK, WI (WTAQ) - The state DNR says five suburban Milwaukee men who trapped a deer and put a T-shirt on the animal could be fined up to $300 each.
WTMJ-TV reported this week on a YouTube video from Oak Creek. It showed that the five men created an elaborate trap, wrestled with the deer, and then dressed the deer with a yellow T-shirt.
The men were seen laughing as they released the animal.
Warden Kaitlin Kernosky said it’s hard to see somebody act like that toward a wild animal. She said the DNR has identified the five men, and was planning to track them down.
Residents said they later saw the deer, and only part of the shirt was around the animal’s neck.
The YouTube video has since been removed.
