The Colorado Rockies grabbed the rubber game of the season opening three game series at Miller Park by beating the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday night 7-3. The Rockies smashed three more home runs, giving them 8 in the series and piled up 15 hits, giving them 41 in the three games. The Brewers got a solo home run from Rickie Weeks and RBI's from Ryan Braun and Alex Gonzalez but the pitching continues to struggle early. Wily Peralta gave up four runs on six hits in five and a third innings to take the loss and John Axford had another dubious outing. Pitching the 9th down 4-3, Axford allowed two home runs, his second to Carlos Gonzalez, giving up five hits and three runs in just two thirds of an inning. His ERA in his first two appearances is an unsightly 21.60. Milwaukee has an off day Thursday but will continue the homestand this weekend, hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks with Kyle Lohse making his Brewers debut Friday night.
