KIEL, WI (WTAQ) - Police in Kiel say a man suspected of robbing a gas station with a hammer is now behind bars.

Authorities arrested the man during a traffic stop just before 1 a.m. Saturday on Highway 67.

The suspect got away with cash and cigarettes from the Kiel Mobil gas station on September 23.

A passenger in the car was also taken into custody but has since been released.

The suspect is being held on charges of armed robbery and bail jumping.
