OSHKOSH, WI (WSAU) - Oshkosh Corporation has won the bid to build more heavy-duty wrecker trucks for the Army. Oshkosh was awarded a $28,576,564 in the deal, which will keep production going until September of 2014. All of the manufacturing will be done at the Oshkosh Wisconsin facility.
Oshkosh Defense is also being awarded $9,966,045 to extend an existing contract for building 186 Weapons Mount Kits, 74 Cargo/Tractor Variant Armor Kits, 30 Wrecker Variant Armor Kits, and Integrated Logistics Support for The Marines in 2013. Work for this contract will be performed in Oshkosh and in Israel before next September.
